He played college football at Clemson University, where he was part of the teams that won national championships in 2016 and 2018. Overton recorded 52 career receptions for 777 yards and seven touchdowns over 51 games at Clemson1.
After college, he played professionally in various leagues. He had stints with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in the CFL, the Vienna Vikings in the European League of Football, and the Philadelphia Stars in the USFL. Overton also spent time with the Pittsburgh Maulers and the Memphis Showboats.
